The course

Stonebrae Country Club.

Tucked into the hills above Hayward, Stonebrae is one of the Bay Area's most spectacular private courses — a David McLay Kidd design with sweeping views of the Bay, the city, and on a clear day, all the way to the Golden Gate.

It's the kind of course where the round itself becomes part of why you came.

Questions

Things people ask.

Where do my dollars actually go?

100% of net proceeds fund scholarships for Bay Area students through the Berkeley Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. We've awarded $147,000 over the past four years and our goal for 2026 is 25 scholarships.

I'm not a golfer — can I still come?

Absolutely. The evening banquet is open to everyone. Banquet tickets are $125 (GA) or $175 (VIP). Many of our biggest supporters are people who never set foot on the course.

I want to play but don't have a foursome.

That's what the single golfer registration is for. Sign up solo and we'll pair you with a foursome that day. Single golfer is $250 through May 15, then $350 through August, then $450.

Is my sponsorship tax-deductible?

Yes. The Berkeley Alumni Chapter operates as a 501(c)(3) and you'll receive a tax acknowledgment letter for the deductible portion of your contribution.

Can my company sponsor as a title sponsor or in-kind partner?

Yes — we have options beyond what's listed here, including title sponsorship, in-kind partnerships, and multi-year commitments. Email Dorian directly and we'll set up a call.

What's the format and what's included?

Four-person scramble, shotgun start. Each golfer gets greens fees, cart, range balls, on-course lunch, and a banquet ticket. Foursomes get team prizes; single golfers compete for longest drive and closest to the pin.

I just want to commit without paying yet.

If you're at a chapter meeting or event, use the commitment form — we'll follow up to lock in the details.
